Karol Marek Klimczak is an Assistant Professor at Kozminski University (Warsaw, Poland) and at University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain). He holds a habilitation degree in finance from the Wroclaw University of Economics (Poland) a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Lodz (Poland) and a master in management degree from the Christian-Albrechts Universitaet (Germany). He has served as a researcher in residence at the Yale School of Management (USA) and a visitng professor at HEC-Paris, he has worked with the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) to develop risk management oversight guidelines. His research interests are in the interface between corporate finance and investors in financial markets, which includes financial reporting and control systems. He published in the International Journal of Accounting, Accounting Research Journal, Journal of Accounting and Management Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and the Journal of Risk Finance. He is a member of the European Accounting Association (EAA), the Polish Risk Management Association Polrisk and the Polish Society of Individual Investors.
